Why best average values don't work?
With a backtest, we'll always find the best average stop-loss and take-profit but that's not how trading works.
It doesn't account for market conditions and slippage.
Very often with a backtest, your stop order won't get hit but will be with Live trading.
Why so? the answer is slippage. Basically, we set our stop order, we clearly see the candles are 15 pips away from it but we get stopped out anyway.
Do you know now what I'm talking about? Painful right?
Whatever the best average values we find, they'll often be relevant when the volatility decreases/increases or whenever a news/major event occurs
