  • Split view works up to a point. What if I want to look at multiple indices? Let's say its AU200, JPN225 and HK during the Asian session, this would mean a 6 split view. Tradingview slows down a lot once you have that many algos running. And an issue with Tradingview compared to other platforms, you cant resize the views within the screen or use across multiple monitors. Maybe its a workstation setup thing for me, I like to have a number of charts on my screen so I can scan rather than switching between timeframes and securities.

  • Hi @artfuldodger

    Events propagation between timeframes

    This is a good idea
But, what will you do if you're trading 1 min chart and see the 5 min and 15 min aren't aligned?

Events are propagating from the lower timeframe to the bigger timeframe

Let's assume here the 1 min turns bullish and 5/15 min are bearish.
Sometimes, it will be a fakeout. Other times, it will be the beginning of a trend reversal.
As we never know, that's why we recommended a bigger pullback whenever there is a reversal signal (LONG after a big drop/SHORT after a big increase).

    Alternative

I'm using multiple screens for trading
Many subscribers are using the split view feature from TradingView to see in the same screen their intraday and the m5/m15 charts

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts about what I just said
    Cheers

  • Is there a way of having some kind of indication of when Algos are aligned? For example, if I am looking at a 1 min chart, is the alert aligned to 5min / 15min?
